Manages and maintains the desert portal, including assisting with content development, posting regular updates using the content management system, analytics and evaluation and other day-to-day website maintenance needs.
Designs, creates and produces art (e.g., flyers, posters, web graphics and displays) and other publications using the Adobe Suite and/or other professional design software.
Develops marketing materials, messaging and content for the Desert of Mississippi portal.
Assists with researching and writing articles, news releases, and blog posts
Assists in coordinating special events internally and within the community.
Supports internal communications, including developing events, messages and materials directed for deputies.
Responds to minor portal concerns and conflicts through phone or email.
Assists with general communications administrative tasks, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in a journalism, communications, marketing, or public relations field.
PREFERENCE(S):
Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of all page management and analytical tools for the desert portal
Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to represent the portal
Ability to work with other members to identify communications threats/opportunities and help achieve organizational goals
Excellent customer service skills
WordPress or similar website content management system experience
Experience in establishing a consistent brand
The salary listed on this job is the range and will depend upon qualifications.
